ECU Unlock Service Terms & Conditions
Last updated: October 2025
Please read these terms carefully before placing your ECU Unlock order. By submitting an order, you confirm that you understand and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Â
1. Shipping & Risk
All ECU shipping is at the customer’s own risk. ECU-Unlock Service is not responsible for loss, damage, or delay caused by postal or courier services. We strongly recommend using tracked and insured shipping.
Â
2. ECU Condition
The ECU must be in original, unopened condition. We reserve the right to refuse or return any ECU that shows signs of damage, tampering, cloning, or internal modification.
Â
3. Safe Unlock Procedure
Our unlock process does not require physically opening the ECU casing. If we detect prior manipulation that prevents a safe unlock, the order may be cancelled without refund. The ECU must be clean, dry, and free from adhesives or sealant residues.
Â
4. Service Scope
ECU-Unlock Service performs only the unlock process. Any further tuning or flashing via MHD, BM3, or other tools is performed entirely at the customer’s own risk. ECU-Unlock Service is not liable for software errors, hardware damage, or performance issues caused by third-party modifications.
Â
5. Order Requirements
The customer must specify in advance which tuning method (MHD, BM3, or ATM Tool) will be used. Each platform requires a different unlock procedure. Orders must include a printed confirmation with the ECU shipment.
Â
6. Turnaround & Timing
The stated turnaround time (typically within 24 hours) is an estimate, not a guarantee. Processing time may vary based on workload, ECU condition, or technical issues.
Â
7. Payment & Refunds
Payment must be made in advance via the online portal. Once the unlock procedure has started, refunds are not possible.
Â
8. Warranty & Liability
The service is provided ‘as is’ without any express or implied warranty. ECU-Unlock Service accepts no liability for direct or indirect damage resulting from the unlock or subsequent tuning. All work is performed in-house with professional care, but the customer assumes full responsibility for use of the unlocked ECU.
Â
9. Refusal of Service
ECU-Unlock Service reserves the right to refuse service for any ECU that shows evidence of damage, manipulation, previous opening, or internal modification that may compromise the safety of the process.
Â
10. Legal Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively by the competent court in the Netherlands.
